Probably knitting was one of the oldest action that early human did. archaeologists believed that early human inspired by spiders and birds house buildings and started to knit very simple techniques and during centuries have improved these techniques.
why Pazyryk is the oldest handmade carpet in the world?
Professor Rudenko had found The oldest hand-woven in the region named Chatal Hovik. and estimated that these are woven about 6000 years .B.C. and also some clay works had been found that proved there were some spinning, dyeing and weaving workshops. The oldest carpet discovered is Pazyryk, although archaeologists had been found some hand-woven before Pazyryk, none of them had the exact feature of a real handmade carpet such as the weaving techniques and putting wafts, the design, and the material.
where was Pazyryk found?
Professor Rudenko found handmade carpet in Pazyryk valley beside Alta mountains. In this valley, a race lived whose Iranian called them Saka. Professor Rudenko and his colleague Aznouf discovered some rooms that had been used as a cemetery for the king of the nation in about 400 years B.C. because of the weather situation that always was absolute glacial all the objects that were buried there, were protected . in one the rooms they discovered a coffin and some horses and a carriage and a big handmade carpet which have been kept in Hermitage Museum in Russia. The size of this carpet is suitable for the floor of the carriage and they guessed that this carriage and carpet were used for carrying the dead people to their cemetery.

This carpet was woven by 100percent wool, dense warp and after each line of weaving used 3 to 4 wafts. Its wool was vegetable dyed and it’s obvious that early human used madder and red beetle for dyeing the yarn. the design of this carpet shows the ability to drawing the carpet design and the development of art in that age. archaeologists said that the pattern of this carpet had a strong line with Persian and Assyrian art and approximately attributed to Achaemenes period.
